What is now known as Gotucoverd Caps, all started from a phone call from my mom. At the onset of the global pandemic, she called and demanded that I buy a sewing machine to help with the need for PPE.  I didn't own a sewing machine and had only a basic knowledge of sewing.

 

As the need for my handmade scrub caps increased, I also heard the anguish in the voice of so many healthcare workers. An idea sparked in my mind to add words of affirmation and encouragement to the caps. The scrub caps were an immediate hit. The most sought after cap was the "FAITH" surgical cap. That's what healthcare professionals and their patients needed; they needed faith. I didn't stop there and now more than two years later, here we stand as a minority owned and women led brand of quality, exceptional and extraordinary scrub caps that are not only practical but purposeful.
